Well I guess I get what I get. Cars been running around on 530whp for a little bit and I knew I was counting the days. Car started smoking a little bit so I did a compression test.

This fall/winter I'll begin the tear down on removing the engine/trans and looking to buy an LDK used and swap in some forged parts or buy zzps forged LDK and finding a f23. If anyone has a good LDK engine or any thoughts on ways to get it done cheap I'd appreciate the info otherwise this wraps up my summer.

I have an extra F23 4.17 final drive if you're near the Charlotte area. I thought I might need it but the current one has been holding 400whp without a problem.

I have a line of a couple motors. One being a complete 100k mile 2.0 out of 2013 Regal. According to the guy the oil filter housing says a20NFT which is a LHU? Is that plug and play? Harness wise and I can use the LNF head and clutch? Looking for insight as I've scoured the web and not certain.

Looking over what wiki list for LHU and LDK, the engine I gave away was a LHU and I think maybe was labeled as such. But I don't know what parts were swapped out between the original LNF and the replacement engine. It appears the injectors on the LHU are bigger to allow for e85. Clutch is the same, at least the flywheel seems to swap. I reused the harness from the donor onto the new motor, but I have to say the ATK replacement for the LNF was probably some hybrid of LNF/LDK/LHU. It's likely very close to plug and play, but might not be 100%.

Ya that's what I'm afraid of. Going down a path too save some cash but running into issues vs buying the forged LDK from zzp.

Ok so here goes. Picked up u Gen 3 88mm from Pwerks. Block casting comes back as a 2011-2017 2.4L ecotec. So I reused my LNF head, LNF crank, ZZP rods and Wisecos pistons. Now the block didn't have the turbo drain port so I drilled and placed the drain into the lower girdle. The issue I am having now is the oil feed. Of course I didn't think prior to check but there are no removable bungs on the back of the motor.
Trying to get more info from pwerks. So far they are saying possibly use the oil galley plug off the head in the picture below. But NOT to use the plug under the oil filter, which fits due to others in cobaltss saying they having turbo starvation issues using the oil filter housing. Or possibly T off the oil pressure sensor by the starter but will oil make it up to the back all the way around the motor and up? Looking for some guidance. I feel this may be a LEA? But not 100 sure. Knock sensors in the right spot or lower set of the threaded holes?

Speaking with some people I had to track down on cobaltss forums. I guess that port is restricted. Waiting to hear from zzp. Pwerks says that port is fine, others saying it's not. Want to be 100% before I continue. Or im going to have to disassemble the block to drill the pad where the factory feed port on the LNF is and reassemble.
