Small Chisel and hammer would probably be my first go to. Depending on big the hex is, maybe drive a slightly larger hex or the head of a bolt into the hole.
I just looked at mine, and my memory is correct on what is the fill plug, it looked like vice grips or channel lock pliers has a chance in getting a grip on the outside of the plug.
My main reason to get it out is to fill fluid into the trans. Is there a sensor or something I can fill from instead? I know this is less than ideal….
A little context. My friend won’t be done with my LSD trans in time for the Festival of Goblins so I popped my old non-LSD trans back in. Last thing I have to do for now is fill it with 1.5 qts fluid. Once he’s done, I’ll swap in the LSD unit and can work on the plug with the trans out.
Looking at my f35 I think there's enough material on the outside of the plug for a good pair of channel locks to bite on (unpaid promo: Knipex Cobras are great). VSS would maybe the other option. If I remember correctly it's sealed w/ an oring so it opens up to the fluid area of the trans when you pull it.
I just went out and pulled the speed sensor. It gave me access to put my 1.5 qts. in. Thanks everyone. I’ll deal with the stripped plug when I have the trans back out.
