The dibs list has become too cluttered to really see what we are currently bidding on. I created this topic so we could post a history of what vehicles actually went for. If you post on this topic just a quick summary of the vehicle and the $ - not including shipping and fees. Posting a link would be good although I don't know how long a link will remain valid. I cleaned up all my old bids on the dibs list.

Bay area Copart 06 SS supercharged runs & drives 81k miles broker required

I'm going to watch this one and see what it sells for. I placed a bid, but unfortunately it requires a broker.

POST AUCTION EDIT:

Highest bid was $1750 sold "on approval" by seller

2010 LS 100k miles. Bought on copart, Texas salvage title so no brokers needed. Damage was to drivers doors, everything ran fine. $800.

2008 LT 98564 miles. Damage to the driver's, looks to have been hit squarely in the B pillar. Copart listed it as running and driving, no license required. I purchased directly from Copart. My winning bid was $175. After fees and $196 to have it hauled from Graham, WA to Arlington, WA, my total came to $504 and change. I really didn't expect to win it for such a low price based on my past experiences with auctions at the local Copart yard, so this was a surprise.

2010 SS/TC ~103k miles. "Buy it now" price of $700 on SCA.Auction, ended up around $1900 after fees and shipping from PA to IN. Damage to front end (broken intercooler and radiator) and windows. Listed as "running" but not well due to disconnected intake at the broken intercooler.

P
2008 LS. 135k miles. Craigslist listed. Had it delivered (by a friend from Wichita, KS to Dodge City) for a total of $2800. Replaced the master cylinder and rear hubs and have been driving it. No damage other than wear and tear and some hail.

2007 SS LE5 auto for $200 on Offer-up. Battery was dead so could not get mileage also the SRS service would not clear. Fully loaded no real damage only worries still haven't heard it run or mileage!!
2008 GT G5 LE5 auto for $300 on Craigslist. Driver side smashed up pretty good from front to rear. Car has only highway mileage from a mechanics point of view this thing is in AMAZING shape no lights on shifts smooth and is very peppy!!

Update on my second donor... 2007 SS/SC with G85 (LSD) transmission.. $750. Not wrecked but doesn't move in any gear.
What you actually got then was an unlimited slip differential - G85U ULSD. ULSD transmissions behind a working engine are very good for using in all electric vehicles where you would like all the benefits of the sound and smell of gasoline in a real automobile but you also like the idea of just using power produced in some nuclear electrical facility hundreds of miles from your home.

PG5
2008 Pontiac G5 Manual Transmission w/ 69,320 Miles. Front end damage and listed as not running on Copart (Started fine once I found the starter wire) . Winning bid was $200 and paid $241 in fees.

I will add:
2008 Cobalt Sport SS/NA 2.4L auto with 85K miles
Front end damage and not running but started fine with new TB and patched some wires
Purchased from IAAI with winning bid of $875+$299 brokerage fees+$85 doc fees+ $320 auction fees =$1579

November 2018 I bought a 2006 2.0L SS/SC Cobalt. Front damage, unknown mileage, not running. Bid $675, copart fees of $310, total $985.
It needed a new battery, and it ran, 197,000 on the ODO. I bid based on buying a new engine, but I needed the subframe, electrical, etc.

2007 SS NA automatic, crashed on front left. $1150. Bought it online in March 2020, only saw pictures, from a junkyard in Virginia. Asked the seller if engine ran, he didn't know because the battery was dead. Engine did turn over by hand. Shipping to Chattanooga was $350.
