Where is my order?

Rttoys
I looked into it a little and I’m not sure where to do that. I also don’t have the kit so there’s not really anything to report yet.
Here in build log section

There’s also plenty to report before you get your kit. You should have had the cobalt purchase, tear down, wiring harness thinning (unless Df is doing that for you), cleaning, painting and other things. You might think it’s redundant because there’s 200+ builds that are pretty repetitive, but as you post something casually, there is many of us that watch for errors that may trip you up in the future. It is also a great for reference later if you forget how you did something.

I waited 209 days...from order to delivery. Tear down that donor, the kit will get there. If you're not confident with electrical I'd suggest having DF knock out the wiring harness for you if you can afford it. Electrical gremlins are one of the tops reasons these cars aren't on the road.

Lots of parts to prep, clean and paint to have ready to assemble when you get the kit let alone the harness. I test run the engine with the harness still on the table just in case I needed to chase any issues before the final taping.

Thanks for all the input! I'll do the build log for sure. Until then here are the current status items:

I'm in Montana and it's -30 outside (where the cobalt is) so I don't really feel like tearing into that quite yet. The plan is to start that process at the end of May when it's slightly warmer. Then I will also send the wiring into DF for them to do the wiring service. While they have it, I'll work on cleaning things, painting things, etc.

Stage 5: ahh beans, i messed up the wiring (it's a ground)
Stage 6: this thing is terrifying and I love it

Stage 7: Realize you spent way more than DF projected. This is not their fault. I comes from 'while I'm in there and I want XYZ parts.

Stage 8: Embarrass Hellcats and Supercars. Answer all sorts of question about what it is EVERYWHERE you go and end up fueling at off hours. Get asked multiple times if it's a VW or K-Series engine.

HAHA. I'm hoping kids will ask about it and I can get them excited about cars!
I took mine to a local car show. All the old fuddy-duddies were yelling about not touching their cars. Then there is me that brought a foldable stool to let kids climb into the vehicle and pretend they are Lewi or Verstappen. Do you part how ever you feel to inspire the next generation, they will need it.

I love the reaction the car gets from kids.

I can’t wait to drop my daughter at school and make a scene.

I tried this one a few years ago, when my daughter was starting middle school. But she wanted no part of it; she hated the car then because it was "too loud and very meh".

Some time later, she started to change her mind when boys from her high school gathered on top of my car while it was unattended and took a Tik Tok of it. "Boys seem to like that thing", she thought.

Just recently, a boy she likes who was visiting our house, took a look at the car and was fiending over it for the next couple weeks.

Needless to say, I think she will be wanting rides this summer.

Luckily my constant car watching/talking about/taking pictures of/building seems to have worn off on her a little. She and I do K1 as much as possible and used to go to cars and coffee when we lived by one.

It also won't start for the first time (or any time thereafter) if the clutch switch isn't actuated. Don't ask me how I know.
