Rear suspension assembly and quick release

I’ve looked all over but can’t find good instructions on how the rear suspension goes together. Does anybody have a step by step walkthrough for that?

I also can’t make heads or tails of the quick release steering assembly. I have a part with splines but they don’t match the splines in the steering column. Are there instructions for this?

thanks.

I don't have a step by step, but if you look up a Cobalt front suspension it's identical minus the steering rack.

steering column and rear coilovers can be found here. If you don’t have coilovers I am not sure.

for the steering, make sure everything is installed per the photo album…then you can start installing the quick release wheel. If you need specific pictures let me know and I can get you some later this morning.

Oh I meant I have the upgraded rear coil overs and although there are pictures in these albums, I’m not clear on what some of them are. There’s one with the tape measure stuck in the bottom showing 3.75”?
Loosen this nut and unscrew until you get that measurement.

Thanks for your feedback. I am gonna need some help on the quick release. The horn button seems too tall to sit flush on the steering wheel. And none of the screws seem long enough to connect.

Let me know if you need some pictures. I just got home from work and more than happy to help out!

Some pics would be super helpful. Thank you. I guess specifically I’m trying to figure out how the wires in the column side connect to power when they seem to slip over the nut in the end of the column. And the connectors on the steering wheel side seem to be too large to fit into the hub. Did you modify those?

As far as the horn goes, I did not wire the horn to the button. I have a button panel with a horn button. Unfortunately I cannot help there.

I ended up gutting all of the connectors inside of the wheel. I have seen a post on here about wiring the horn to the quick disconnect wheel but don’t have it bookmarked.

For this piece, I did have to enlarge the hole to fit over the nut. I used a router bit I had and put it in a drill to get the correct diameter to slide over the nut. I drilled it from the back side.

Make sure you have the 300lb springs in the rear. The videos had it backwards at one point and showed the 400lb in the rear
