V1 #339 Build Log

I seem to remember something too, not the double o-ring, but the o-ring becoming unseated with a reinstall attempt. It has to be in the right spot on the clutch pipe for installation- it won't seat if it's in the elbow when you mate the two, and it likes to stay in the elbow when you pull the two apart.

I think this might be my issue. I have that o ring and it was stuck in the elbow. I removed the o ring and putting on a new elbow.

New elbow on, and o-ring was installed correctly this time. Leak free and clutch operates correctly! Tested out with me sitting in the car and my buddy pushing me back and forth in the garage :)

Need to finish up some bodywork next. Decided to not go the typical vinyl wrapping route and wanted something a little more exotic... "Forged" Carbon fiber skinning. Couple more sanding sessions and it'll be ready for clear coat, but the progress looks awesome so far.

Forged carbon looks amazing, but it is hard to capture in a picture. A video would do it more justice. What part am i looking at in your 4th picture? The pic with the blue tube in the backgroung.

That's the coil pack cover!

Went to bleed the coolant system, and the motor just doesn't have a very good idle, actually gets worse as it goes on and motor eventually stalls. Looks like the bypass valve in the supercharger keeps opening and closing. Possible I don't have that system setup correctly. Can someone check my setup?

Top valve I capped off, was told that was for the evap system. Maybe I just need that to vent to atmosphere?

Rear side of the boost solenoid hose loops around and is plumbed onto the intake manifold nipple. Other side goes to the boost actuator (bottom).

Goblin titled, registered, and insured this week! We are street legal and driving around town. Got quite the reaction from security forces going through the base checkpoint.

Need to inspect my steering system next. Doesn't feel like the EPS is doing much of anything, and there's a significant dead-zone when turning the wheel. The tie rods are brand new, but the rack/pinion, EPS, and steering shaft are from the 160k mile donor. I care much more about fixing the steering wheel play cause it already makes driving straight somewhat challenging.

Autocrossed last week, felt awesome finally driving it flat out. Thinking of removing the sway bar, send to make the rear end way too stiff and slide unpredictably.

Lots going on this weekend in the garage.

Fixed the EPS and steering play last week. The old rack and pinion had some play in it and was the culprit so that got replaced with a freshly rebuilt unit. EPS had a blown 2amp fuse under the passenger kick plate, probably from messing with the dash wiring.

Working on getting the wing mounts and side panels carbon forged. Recently ordered the 60" wing logic aluminum extrusion wing and pretty happy with the quality! Mounts were welded on this morning by Dyemond Fab.

Mocking up some side skirts and forward firing speakers right behind the drivers seat.

Word to the wise, follow the pre drilled holes on the side panels, unless you wanna punch a hole in your coolant tube the night before a car show... Home Depot opens at 6am and JB water weld cures in an hour, maybe I'll be able to patch this up temporarily in time.

Made the show! JB weld saves the day. Made a test piece to see if the concept would work and that held together great. Fully cured in an hour, ran it to operating temp and pressure tested no problem. Add to the list of things to fix over winter.
