BRAKE Indicator

I assume everyone has the BRAKE indicator since the the anti-lock brakes have been removed. From what I am reading if there is a loss of communication with the EBCM, there will the be indicator. I've checked the brake reservoir switch and the parking brake wire is not grounded.

When my 05 base model donor BCM is hooked up, the brake light is off; it did not have ABS.
The light only goes on when I pull my e-brake handle.
That is why when I have the 07 BCM reprogrammed with a GM Tech II tool, I will have then say it do not have ABS.
