V1 Cooling / overflow?

Having some cooling issues. I have the a/t so my rad and reservoir is at the back plus have dual fans. My fans kick on at 103 degrees C. But I get coolant overflowing before the fans kick on. With my rad at the back my hoses are shorter. So not sure if 103 degrees is too hot for the fans to kick. I've been trying to bleed it past few days, don't really see much bubbles any more until it gets near 100 degrees C.

Was thinking of just wiring a manual switch to turn my fans and than i can just switch my fan on earlier. Could it be as 103 degrees is too hot for the fans to turn on?

103°c is 217°f for us normal folks. 103/217 is about normal for the fans to kick on, but no where near boiling out. Coolant might expand a little bit and leak from the overflow, but shouldn’t be boiling out.

did it do this before or something new?

Fan on/off temps could be adjusted with HP Tuners. Not saying this is the fix but might be better than a manual switch. Or you could add a separate switch that is controlled by temperature. If you don’t want to mess with find

I never really drove it long enough until recently to get temperatures up. So its not something new.

Getting the correct fill level can be difficult. if you filled it and it purges out a little, let it run and watch temps. Once it purges all air and such, It’ll level off where it needs to be.
