The LNF also has a particular rotation of the knock sensor that helps decrease phantom knock. Don't know if it matters on the LS.
LNF False Knock- Discovery might lead to cure??? (hptuners.com)
Digging thru the 5 pages, it seems like this forum believes the 9 o'clock position is best on the Solstice and Sky (longitudinal mounted engine). Have not seen any conversations about this in the DF forum, maybe I missed it? But I'm certain that we don't get as far off topic that it would be as buried as this information was. o_O

There are other post on HP Tuners with the same recommended rotation for the Cobalt/LNF and I've seen it posted as a recommendation for the 2.2l in other places. Of course some of these other posts I wouldn't necessarily believe as much as HP Tuners.

On the original discussion, an Internet search seems to indicate that the NA Ecotecs only had one knock sensor, at least in some configurations,

but I'll still confirm with the service manual tonight.

I have these “Planted seat brackets“ they match the slots in the floor pan, do I need to add some spacers so that they don’t hang down?

Others left them hanging down, others used a bolt through the cross support bar on the chassis to the planted seat bracket so the front was secured.

Me personally, I bolted them in and lined up the pegs on the cross support and drilled holes for the hooks to go into. Have some pictures in my build thread somewhere. Really just pick your poison

Think I have it figured out, this bracket mounts to the shifter and extends into the tunnel and connects to the cable.

Did some more searching and found this posting.

Did Adam ever post the video he mentioned?

The shift cable stays within the tunnel. See the below link for the new part that replaces the machined aluminum part in the post by Adam.

Auto trans link

You put the bolt through the orange plastic and the steel shifter link hole and clip the cable to the "C" insert welded to the underside of the tunnel cap. The shifter then bolts to the top of the cap.

I then tossed in the seat and for the first time checked to see how difficult for a guy of my size to climb in, much to my surprise not so hard. The removable steering wheel gave me the room needed.

On to next question, my stock cast iron exhaust manifold dose not have a port for a O2 Sensors? Before I got the donor the guy had cut out the CAT and just cut the O2 wire.

Would a 2010 LS only have one O2 Sensor? The DF Muffler has a port for one, where would the other one plug into?
