Holy details, Batman! Thats a lot of info. Yes but the most important for most is the fact that the 2.2 stock internals failed at 283 hp. Stated 250 hp ok. Past that forged rods and pistons

That's odd because my donor that I bought, 2.4l with an aftermarket supercharger, was stated to be at around 290 HP on max boost. Obviously he could be lying but this makes me not want to max out the boost. Does the 2.4l have better rods and pistons?

The 2.4 is not a 2.2. The 2.4 was built with forged internals and has a significantly more stout bottom end.

The LE5 engines built prior to 2008 had forged steel connecting rods from factory. The newer ones had forged powdered metal connecting rods.
