I figured this might grab the attention of someone. I was curious if someone skilled in the electrical portion of the build would like to come help/do the work (i'll be present) on my 2009 SS/TC. It's been such a daunting experience trying to get just a few wires connected. I've received a lot of help when I was posting, but even the instructions I was given, with links (I asked be broken down "even further/barney style" ) were still too much for me to make progress with. My current build has the engine installed, with IMO a lot of progress made. But I still need to install heat exchange, install fluids, and finish turbo "lines/piping" (insert shrug). I have wire harness routed, and the fuse box connected, (hopefully correct) and wires run to the appropriate locations. I really need the Headlights, Taillights, License Plate Light, Button Panel and all grounds verified/connected.

I would obviously pay for travel and time ($$ can be discussed if someone shows interest in this (closer to the DFW (Texas) area proffered) but would love to be able to knock this out in a weekend and get the first engine start (engine start is really the goal of taking on this endeavour).

Feel free to call/text me if you have further questions. (469) 450-4737

I'm more than willing to continue helping through messenger but it would be a costly endeavor for me to come there as it's about a six hour drive to DFW for me

I'm willing to help, but I am in California. There are lots of Texan builders, hopefully someone close can make it out to you. Feel free to DM me with questions

Just Dang! I'm in El Paso for the birth of our second grand son. Sure wish I could get the weekend off and wander over to DFW and help you out. Feel free to txt me pix(678-464-3341) and I'll sort what I can, no charge. Though I am not building a Goblin, I am resurrecting a 08 Cobalt and that is the same basic wiring with a bunch of ugly stuff still left in it! (I get to fix stuff you have cut away and don't ever need to SEE much less think about ever again! Lately I have had engine sensor connector nightmares and bulk connector dreams.) All of this wiring is not easy but it IS straight forward. Patience is the key. Yes, it is complex, but every item/connector only goes one place. (That is not to say you can't mix up some wiring plugs but odds are against that.) If I don't have the clue, this forum will! I am sure you've heard it 1000 times but go "one bite"(connector) at a time. Hold it in your hand and try to figure out where it goes, only use about 5-10 min on any plug. If "No Joy", put a big bright tape label on it, write "unknown" and Move On! The more plugs you install the more obvious the homes of the unknowns will become. ****Since this is all old wiring sometimes the wire colors get faded near the plugs and anywhere the wiring was exposed to weather for a long time! When checking the color of wires at any connector pull back the wire loom/cover a few inches to check for the actual original color.(The colors of the 2 wires to the VSS looked orange-ish and white-ish, turns out they were pink and yellow, faded.) The number of wires on any connector and their position and color is a great help!

Hey man! Crazy Shirt happens in my life! As luck would have it we are now relocating to Ft. Worth on July 9. We will be staying there through Labor Day. My son’s job has moved his family there! If you still need wiring help give me a call. I should get some free time after July 10. 678-464-3341 Also hoping to go visit Goblin in Red Oak while in DFW. Text works best for me. Helps to weed out sales calls from new numbers.
