No uses that for it that I've found. I wondered the same thing and put it under the workbench just in case. It's been there for a long time now.

The leather wrapped ones in good condition might sell to Cobalt SS owners. Ebay? and the three spoke type are also used in same year Corvettes.

Productive evening.
Got the power steering assembly installed and the brake/clutch lines installed. Small victories. Looked at the next few videos and there are a few parts that need painted before install.

Dam*. My powder coating is taking a beating with all of this in and out and flipping etc. I assumed it to be much more durable than it is.
Maybe a lighter color is just showing more scuffs than a darker color would.

I noticed the blue I had done on my suspension parts don't show any scuffs, where the black on my frame shows scuffs pretty bad

Wrap the most vulnerable sections with foam/bubblewrap/paper/whatever and tape it up. An once of prevention is worth a repaint/coat pound of cure.

How do I know for sure if my brake booster is a late model with a spacer? Im using a 2009 booster, but can not find a spacer in my pile of parts.

Bah! I see the indentation of a spacer on yhe foam, on the back of the booster. Time find one on ebay.

Guess I need a pedal box too.
Wtf. I didnt notice this until I watched the install video and pulled the box off of the shelf that this was hacked up and won't work. It looks like someone previous to me hacked the box up with a sawzall.

*dont mind the fire on the unused tunnel cover. I was testing powder coating limits.

Are all manual pedal boxes the same or is it just 2008-2010 SS boxes that Im looking for?

The location of the clutch switch - and maybe the brake switch? - is different from the later (2008-2010) models, if I've been following the previous discussions correctly. To alleviate any unforeseen differences sticking with the later pedal box is recommended.

So... which way does this bracket go? The voiceover tells you to place the bracket like swervemonkey does it in the blue frame below, but the DF video *shows you to do it the other way while telling you vocally to place it like it is on the blue frame.

So which is it? Does it matter?

Maybe I heard wrong.

I didnt watch far enough into swervemonkey's video. He turns the bracket around to mimic what DF shows you in the video.

Auto pedal box came.
Brake box looks the same.
Pedal arm and switch look the same.
Throttle pedal looks the same.

Time to cut the auto pedal down to size and make it a manual pedal.
