We got our kit after an estate auction of a friend that passed away after the car did not sell for the reserve that the kids had placed upon it. the kit had also been in storage from 2018 thru 2023 so many of the parts could not be accounted for at the auction. that is one big reason it has been a major uphill battle to source these parts.

i am wondering if i had 2 of these a bit of work with the Bridgeport mill i could modify one so that it became the MAP pipe?

I guess you are talking about the pressure sensor used pre throttle body to measure boost (referred to as low res boost sensor on HPT forum). This doesn't have to even actually mounted in the pipe. You can tie it in with vacuum tubing and remote mount it using a barb fitting if you want to.

So i stopped by Oldb1's shop on the way back from a doctors appointment and we talked about all the turbo piping i just ordered. weeeeeeelll looks like there may be a problem! so i ordered THIS MAF Amazon.com: 3 inch OD MAF pipe mass airflow housing pipe for 2005-2010 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Air intake tube aluminum SS : Automotive

it is 3" pipe
then i ordered a 3" 135 degree bend and a 3" universal kit from frozen boost

i hope my notes are accurate. well the turbo looks to have a 2" outlet
then intercooler looks to have 2.5 inlet and outlet
the throttle body looks to have a 2.75 inlet

we won't have time to get this car done and make it to the meetup on the 16th of next month at this rate!

Could someone pretty please with sugar on top take some measurements of their various turbo pieces/ reducers/elbows and tell me what you have on your car?

Also, while I was at Oldb1's shop we looked at engine mounting. . . Luckily the engine bolts and former seat bolts we need turned up after some shop cleaning. However, we never did not get the hardware pack "K21D" with the spacers as referenced in the video. So still no EZ-buttons for us. lol

the spacers are our only real concern at this point.

I slapped a straight edge on the high point/nub of the DRIVERS SIDE- powertrain bracket and looks like the spacers will need to be 15mm tall or 9/16". Does anyone have better numbers? I can knock making those parts out simple enough if I have good numbers

I'm not sure that many are going to remember what "K21D" is. What spacers are you talking about? And if this has to with transmission mounting, it probably depends on what you are using/donor. Which you should add to your signature.

I don't know what material they are made from, or where you could source them aside from DF themselves, but the turbo kit came with several of these flexible adapter tubes. Side note, it's amazing how dirty a camera makes everything look.

Turbo inlet (T04) is 2.36 inches (60 mm) - needs a reducer joint from 3.0 inches from the MAF pipe. Turbo outlet (T04) is 2.0 inches (50 mm) - needs an expansion joint to match the inlet to intercooler (2.5 inches?). The intercooler outlet 2.5 inches?) - needs an expansion joint for the 2.75 inches MAP pipe - and this is the size of the LNF throttle body inlet. Was this what you needed?

No way to really get to those spacers on an assemble car but the best I can from the one I can almost get to is somewhere between 9/16 & 5/8. I get a no go with a full 5/8 metal ruler.

The 'U' (135? 180?) should be 2.75 inches (70 mm) on both ends to mate with the DF MAP pipe - or sized to match the MAP you will be using.

oh good golly what a mess! i will be cancelling my current tubing order got one. the "U" is definitely a fair bit short of 180.

The only MAP pipe I have located is 3" guess we go back to the drawing board.

Are getting an autocorrect that is changing maf to map?

all sizes of MAF tubing available on eBay.
No real reason a 3” maf won’t work but it will need more tuning and more important to get some straight length before and after the maf.

If MAP is what you really meant, and actually low res boost sensor as previously mentioned, it doesn’t really matter what size it is, just get the required rubber fittings to make it work.
