V1 LSJ Turbo Swap

Hi guys,

So I'm planning on doing a turbo swap on my LSJ - question at this point is: Is this more easily done before or after the powertrain is in the chassis?

Also, can anyone point me to a good thread regarding LSJ specific powertrain prep? Not entirely sure if there is anything I am missing in terms of getting the powertrain ready to bolt in.

The new build videos detail all the prep on the LSJ that is needed to go in to the chassis. Regarding the LSJ install, I did mine when it was on the engine stand as part of the engine rebuild. However, it is definitely doable while it is in the chassis. The main work is done on the exhaust side of the engine (tapping the oil galley is behind the water pump cross over pipe).

LSJ Entry Turbo Swap Specific:
The SC removal and adding the block off plate was easy. This would be easier to do while out of the chassis obviously, but still doable.

LSJ Complete Turbo Swap Specific:
This would be a little more difficult with the engine in the chassis because you have to remove the intake manifold, which has a bolt on the bottom side attached to the IC pump. Still doable as you'd be removing the IC pump anyways, but you'd have to get under the Goblin which isn't as fun without a lift.
