No i am working on making it street legal. Just finished the parking brakes this weekend. It is the first one in calif.

They are ones that they put on jeeps.
They are DOT approved.

Did you keep the non-glass windshield? If so what did the inspector say about it if anything?
I see you are near SLO. I am near Hanford, about 30 miles S. of Fresno.

Yes I keeped non glass windshield
They never said anything about it.
The head lights and parks brake are the hard thing to pass.

Better question; what year did you register it as? A replica of something? Someone suggested Lotus 7, but I think that is quite a stretch.

I am in CA and was considering buying a kit or going a prebuilt route, but would like it to be street legal and registered. Do you have any guidance with accomplishing this in CA and if you had to get it smogged as well? Thank you in advance!
