V1 Robinjo #405 Full Cage - 2006 SS/SC Build "Drago"

I really like the NACA ducts! That's a great idea! How painful was it to get them installed? My hood is already wrapped. I wonder if I still could do it.

Not painful at all, took maybe an hour and I went slow with it. Definitely got rid of the stagnant air in the footwell area.

I positioned the ducts where I wanted them, laid them on the hood upside down (tube pointed up). Then I traced around the duct with a silver sharpie as my hood is still black. From that line, I measured and marked inside 10mm. This was my cutting line and used a jigsaw to do the cuts. From that, slight adjustments (cuts) were needed to get the unit to sit flush. Once it set flush, I drilled some holes for riveting but did not do that yet. I applied silicon caulking to the inside to help sealed the units and then rivetted them down. Once in place, I then went to the inside and added more silicon just to be sure the joint was sealed. This is mostly for later on when I plug the holes to not allow cold air through.

Oil change completed with no fuss. If you have a Supercharged version, get a 1-1/4 inch ratcheting wrench. This makes getting the oil filter cap off very easy. I may only use this thing once a year but it's worth it. Also, have a plastic bag ready to catch the cap and filter. I place it in the space between the fuel tank and engine, below the filter housing.

Still liking the new damper adjustment. Only a couple minor things to button up and then it's off to GoblinFest 2025. If you on the fence about going, do it. It's a really fun time.

All maintenance items should be easy to get to. The engineers that design these stupid filter/drain plug/battery locations should be rounded up, sent to an abandoned island and forced to listen to Taylor swift songs cranked up to 11 for the rest of their years.

It's really not that hard to get to with the ratchet wrench. I just took the cap off, then pulled the filter separately.
The first time I did it with a crescent wrench was not fun. The second time with the SC out was very easy.....

But yes, regular maintenance items should be a simple job. I remember from my oil changer days that the Jeep Cherokee was an absolute nightmare to get to the oil filter. Your arm needed to break in two places.
