Windshield and wipers

Hi, I’m from New Jersey and I’m trying to register my car that was previously registered in a different state, and of course motor vehicles is giving me a hard time, they told me I need a glass windshield and wipers and I need some type of a protection cover for the exhaust so no one gets burned on a hot exhaust, they said that a child could go up to it and touch it. Does anyone have any ideas for windshield and wipers?

A few of the locost and seven folks used a hand crank wiper for inspection. It clips on to windscreen and then they store it for the next years inspection.

Also, some used a cigarette lighter plug in operated wiper. also took them off and stored for next year.

Some have used those pretty metal screen sheets for covering the mufflers - like those screens for a house door. Lowes, Home Depot or hardware stores. Make a bracket to mount about a half - three quarter inch out from the muffler.

Just throwing it out there.

No one is selling ready to go windshield kits. If you aren’t a somewhat skilled fabricator, you might need to find a shop to do it. Or look into doing a Montana registration.

Well there are pictures of my car with a prototype windshield here.

Nicholas Tiratsuyan has wipers, glass? windshield and a track frame:

Most people just use the DF windshields on the track frame.

The pictures above are all the cars with wipers that I know of.

Dan Perry just used the A pillars to lay polycarbonate on.

Nice find. Let us know what the quote comes in at. My windscreen is 24"x64" if you need rough sizing, but glass would probably be 24"x48"

Doing a little reading for a custom windshield they usually want a metal form of the windshield sent in with the exact sizing and bends. From what it looks like pricing is going to be somewhere in the $5k range. Lol a no go for me.
Currently attempting to install a polycarbonate windshield (Inspired by Ross design).

Dang, for $5k you could almost buy the tools and materials to make one for yourself and anyone else on the forum who wants one. I'm in the wrong business.
