Starting my thread! Might be a bit light but others sharing progress and struggles have kept me going so I am returning the favor.
I started with a 2006 SS/SC donor that had a whopping 226000 miles on the clock. The engine had been rebuilt at 178000 according to the previous owner. I can confirm that the engine appears to be in good shape, after driving it around for a month or so.
Clemson graduate here and decided to be as noticeable as possible and got the illusion orange powder-coat and could not be happier.
Picked up my kit from Red Oak, TX and found out that my kit had a surprise
Major Milestones:
Frame picked up August 7th
Donor fully torn down August 9th
Body Harness Thinned, August 11th
August 11th progress
(need to relocated fluid reservoir still)
Donor Scrapped August 14th
Front hubs/Calipers August 19th
for the most part complete (need to tighten it all down)
