V1 Chris's Track Goblin - 06 SS/SC Donor

B
The Doctor said he wanted me doing nothing for at least 2 weeks. I learned something on the cradle bolts, use Seafoam penetrating oil on the exposed threads on the top. Spray them 2 or 3 times and wait until it starts coming out around the heads of the bolts. I took one out and I was braced in there real good with a 3 foot 1/2" drive breaker bar. When it finally came loose I thought I had busted a blood vessel in my head I strained so hard. The ones I sprayed with the Seafoam came out fairly easy. .
Can you give me contact info on your PC guy in Chattanooga? I live in Chattanooga and have a kit coming in about 5 weeks, and I don't know anyone in the paint business. I would like to do a maroon on the frame with white and gray accents on the body and fender.

Well I am finally close to getting back to work on my Goblin. I had an unexpected medical detour from working on anything. I had a complete future of the longhead tendon in my right shoulder, two tears of at least 1inch in the right rotator cuff, completely detached the tendon from under the shoulder blade and some bone spurs removed from the right shoulder. Then had a partial tear in the longhead tendon on my left shoulder, the remaining attached part of the bicep muscle tore in half between the shoulder and elbow going front to back, had a large tear in the rotator cuff, had some bone spurs around the joint and was down to 1% of of movement in my left collar bone. The doctor has finally bumped me up to a 10lb lifting limit, but still no twisting like opening a coke bottle with either arm for now. I'm going through looking at what I have left to get this baby finished up and looking forward to turning a wrench again soon. This has been pure hell on a man that loves to work on things....

Have you gotten started on yours I've been completely out of action had surgery on both shoulders and am just now being put on a 10 lb lefting limit. I didn't see your post before this happened and I'm sorry I missed it.

****. It’s been a long run for you. Where are you on the build?

10# isn’t much and I wouldn‘t press it. My wife has had rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders (in separate years). Her PT was very strict on her and because of that, she’s made a full recovery, even though it took longer than it should have. So please be careful when doing things.

It feels like physical therapy is a normal part of my life now. I'm down to 2 or 3 sessions with the therapist and the rest of the week it's homework exercises. I have been about stir crazy over this. It's really bad when you are down without full use of both arms at the same time

I couldn’t imagine and don’t want too. Her having to do this due to “wear and tear” has made me start watching out what I do now........well at least sometimes.
