V1 Dragon Motorsports 2.0 [Extended\Open-Frame\Easy Entry Door Bars] - [2007 LSJ SS Donor] - [Frame #392]

Jareth
So on my way to junkyard on Saturday morning to get a fuel filler neck.

Before I go can anyone think of anything else I may have misplaced?

Brake booster, clutch master cylinder, ignition switch, any number of critical size/length bolts...how deep into this would you like to go? Good luck at the bone yard!

Fortunately, I already have all those components installed.

Good idea, I think I pick up some of the larger bolts that are typically needed and easy to get from a salvage car.

Jareth, ya killin' me!o_O
BTW yesterday was a banner day for me at a yard in Pocatella, Id, 5 batt + terminal caps, though one is faded to pink.(I'll be charging extra for that one.) And that place had No Cobalt's. One Saturn Ion, the rest were on GMC Terrain/Chevy Equinox. Salt Lake City next week may prove even more productive, bigger town! I've not seen an SS in a yard since Albuquerque last February. I'm always picking up loose tidbits from "yard removals"; bolts screws, clips and other special fasteners, things you won't find at auto parts stores. Sometimes yard guys cut up wiring harnesses and leave behind interesting ends, and they're cheap. I obviously qualify as a hoarder.;)

Couple questions:

Photo #1 this empty whole seems odd?

Photo #2 What is this component that this hard black plastic tube is connected to, it sees to rotate a little?

Photo #3 What technique is used to pop these off?

1. that hole is normal.
2. The hydraulic clutch slave distribution block
3. Brute force (and ignorance) is your friend. It will pop off.

This thread mentions a few issues to avoid when connecting the DF clutch line.
Also, that clutch bleeder nipple is hard to reach in a goblin,
so I recommend connecting and bleeding the clutch when the subframe is 4" below to the DF frame.
Or install a remote bleeder extension.

May I ask for clarification “recommend connecting and bleeding the clutch when the subframe is 4" below to the DF frame”

How does that help, does it make it easier, if so why?

The 4" is enough room in a goblin to get my arm in, and use a wrench on the clutch bleeder. Once the subframe is bolted to the goblin, I can't get my arm in that far... but I have used my kid, with smaller arms, to get in there. Without him, I can't do it.
