Powder coating of frame costs?

I'm trying to get all my cost numbers together for my potential build, and I was wondering if anybody had any pricing estimates/information on it?

If I get the kit it would be easier for me to have it shipped already powder coated by DF as I do not have a trailer.

I checked out Prismatic Powders website and the cost of the actual paint doesn't seem that high but I have no idea how much is used/cost of labor, etc.

Thanks in advance!

Also, has anyone looked into using a high-heat spray paint on the exhaust muffler assembly? VCT and RO make ones that can handle 2k. If it lasts on headers it should be ok on the exposed muffler on the Goblin, no?

Here is what I was told by Adam:

As long as it's not an obscure color, single stage coats (like P2) are $550, two stage coats (like P1.5) are $800. Both of these include media blasting before coating.

We charge $300 to crate the first stage when the chassis is uncoated. An uncoated chassis is much easier to ship because minor scrapes don't really affect the appearance of the frame. Coated frames on the other hand, must be completely and securely boxed in or there is a very high risk that the coating will be damaged in transit. Because of this, we don't really like shipping coated frames. We haven't settled on a crating price for a coated frame but it is going to be considerably more than $300.

The frame is easily transported in an average truck bed without a trailer so if you have a truck or have a buddy with a truck, you can get the frame to a powder coating shop. We highly recommend that you get the frame coated so that you can be responsible for transporting it after coating. Also, going to the coating shop yourself allows you to pick the exact color you want by looking at samples.

Good Evening,
Just something to think about if you are going to do any modifications (changing the mounts for reservoirs, coolers, brackets for radiator lines). If you have the frame powder coated all those changes are going to have to be clamped to the frame. If you have a raw frame you can weld in threaded lugs or tabs for mounting those accessories. (would make a lighter cleaner look). Couple of examples in the pictures. If I would not have had the frame powder coated first. I could have welded in tabs or threaded lugs right onto the frame.
