V1 Traé’s Goblin (06’ SS/SC #501)

I may have to get some different hoses, I used the very thick poly provided in the kit. Maybe that is leaking after the cold weather got to it.

The rubber hose came in our parts kit. I didn’t notice until I took the picture that ours seems to have a slight seepage there also. I may add a spring clamp on there when I come across one.

Just an OBD2 Scanner, I will pull codes tonight. The check engine light is always on with evap codes so I didn’t even think to look.
Hp tuners is great, it lets you disable the check engine light for some of these items. I’ve turned it off for the evap, and the missing o2 sensor. So if the light comes on now, I know there’s a new issue.

i need to get one sooner than later.

Present codes;
p0036 - o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2. 2nd sensor is not there.
p0141 - o2 sensor bank1 sensor 2. 2nd sensor is not there.
p0443 - evap
p0449 - evap
p0452 - low fuel pressure

Only difference from last time I pulled codes is that p0036 was pending and is now a set code.

Code needs to looked up in the service manual to see. But anytime fuel issues are possible, putting on a fuel pressure gauge seems like an easy step.

The more research I do it sounds like spark is blowing out with the higher levels of boost. Need to get the plugs out, check gap and decrease it a bit. Is 0.028 - 0.030 the recommended gap??

You can see the one way vent on the T above the tank.

If i remember correctly, I'm at .026 for the gap on mine. Start at .028-.030 and see how it likes it.

No luck on the spark plug gap. Gap was decreased from .035 + (biggest feeler gauge I had) to .028 and no change in the loss of power while heavily accelerating.

next will be checking fuel pressure, if this doesn’t help diagnosis I will have to wait until I can get HP tuners and get some data. In the midst of a bathroom remodel and all my money is funneling into that. If anyone has an MPVI2 they no longer need I would be interested. For what I want to use it for, I feel the MPVI3 is not needed.

How did you initially get into autocross?

Are there beginner events, or is it more of a “go for it” type of thing?
