You know what’s more fun than finishing your goblin?

Learning that’s your throw out bearing has a leak on the day it’s supposed to be done….

Anyways, happy thanksgiving week!

Don't recall, did you replace the clutch or separate the transmission from the engine?

Not to make this problem worse, but the TOB is a wear item as a part of the clutch system. Donors with more than 100K miles, that still have the original clutch, should be replaced as a full set when the engine/transmission is out of the car and if they are separated. This is just a recommendation only, as many builders - mainly those who don't mess with the clutch during their build - generally don't report TOB issues.

That's super rough but I feel your pain. I had rear main seal leak shortly after assembly, this will be a very similar procedure to fix.

I was able to separate and remove the trans with the engine in the frame.

how did it come out? This is my first decision, I was thinking of keeping the trans on the subframe, and maneuvering the engine off.

this would be with the subframe out of the goblin.

It was easy to take the whole engine/trans assembly out and then separate after. I also had to replace my TOB after getting everything in and running.

Did you use a new replacement cap or silicone over the cap ? How did you install it? Remember the C-clip and black plastic?

I used my F35 throw-out bearing btw, no issues.

If you dive in that deep again, if memory serves the documentation also mentioned the orientation of the C-Clip. See in this photo how it's open to that hole in the trans? I think this opening and the structure of the black plastic work together to keep everything lubricated. Given your leak flows that much fluid, my hunch is it's coming from here in some form.
