V1 Brett W’s City Goblin – 09 SS Donor #229 v1

For the overflow line off the coolant tank, are people just running it down below the engine and dumping on the ground?

Get the MOOG Problem Solver bushings for any old or new replacement control arms. They don't flex like the standard rubber bushings.

Got all the hard brake lines and braided lines in place. Painted some parts. Hooked up what I could to the engine, other than the intercooler plumbing.

For some reason, I have 4 supports for a spoiler. Is this right? Am I gonna go double height?

Also, I am not familiar with how the brake lines attach to the calipers. Maybe I am overthinking it. How do they attach? Just a bolt or am I lacking a piece?

Basically, just did odds and ends all weekend on the Goblin. Getting as much done without having the wiring harness.

Next week, get the intercooler plumbing done. Install a steering wheel when it comes in. Paint new lower control arms when they arrive. Paint new rear hubs when they arrive. Install rear suspension up to hubs. DF is going to drill them for 5x114. Fortunately, I will drive right past DF going to / from Thanksgiving.

Probably not going to get as much done on the car the next two weeks. I think I am at a waiting point (harness / seats) / need to focus on work / holidays.

Ok, time for an update. I got tires / wheels / brakes / painted the radiator with the proper paint. Mounted the ducts for the heat exchanger and in general fine tuned a bunch of stuff while I was waiting for the wiring harness.

Now, I received the wiring harness today and it confirmed my suspensions. When I was cleaning up the engine harness, I appear to have remove the 4 pin map sensor wires and connector. Why, I don't know. The is the map sensor right before the throttle body. I have a replacement pigtail coming that should allow me to fix the wiring but I need to figure out where the map sensor wires go to in the connector.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 2009 SS? Anyone know what pins on what connector I need to be looking at?

I could not find that diagram. Sorry.
Someone with access to a data site?

here is the plug and the wire colors. Maybe that is all you need?

Signed up for all data diy and did some digging and found the diagram with pinouts that coresponds to Jason's photos. I think I am all set, just have to dig into the harness, find the cut wires, splice in the ones I got coming and I should be good to go.

I went for a first start today, primed the fuel pump by jumping the relay and the beast ran, for a few seconds and then stalled.

It appears the fuel pump is not getting triggered however I know the pump itself works since I can manually run it (jumping the relay).

When I try to start the car, I can feel that the fuel pump is not running by putting my hand on the top of it.

I have check the fuse box plugs and didn't find anything that looked suspect.

Also, I have swapped the relay for the ac clutch relay (same part number) and that did not help.

Looking at other threads, I need to get an odb2 reader to check the codes.

Beyond that, anybody have any ideas? I am all ears.

When you first turn the key to the ON position, the pump should run for just a few seconds to prime. This is before you start it. This can help in troubleshooting. However, it will not keep doing it on successive key cycles.

I assume you have a CEL and some codes. They should help. You don't have a security lock symbol lit up, do you?

Brett
Pump is not priming. No security lock symbol.

I just remembered I have an old odb2 code reader.

Codes are as follows:

P0627
P0443
P0449
P0452

Just pulled them so I haven't had a chance to research.
