I found an interesting write up Eddie Hill (Funny car driver) did about one of his LSJ Ariel Atom track cars.
Among many other things, he ended up ditching the stock HE and ended up using two Max Cool shifter kart radiators with fans.
The dual, 3in thick core radiators were able to handle the heat output and keep his IAT"s down at a cool level temp.
The smaller, thinner core HE's are good for short burst runs but just can't keep up with dissipating the heat the intercooler is putting out during extended WOT.
