ok our 3rd issue today: anyone know what this little purple plug is on the wire harness? it comes out of the main part of the dash harness next to the group of grounding wires and has just about enough length to reach the clutch switch but you can see that is already plugged in.

speaking of the grounding wires. . . .our chassis did not have a grounding lug on the pedal support like it shows in the videos. is this normal? we adapted and overcame the issue by grinding some of the powder coating off around the power steering mount and bolting it down there. you can kind of see the loop of wire on the upper LEFT side of the picture.

Can you take a better photo of #2? Like a few photos and some backed up to see the whole area?

#3 Maybe the brake fluid level sensor? I’m not sure there since I have a LSJ with the old style brake and clutch stuff.

Brake reservoir connector. It gets wrapped together with the accelerator pedal while thinning the harness.

As to more photos- YES- i will but it may be a bit because I only work in the goblin shop on Wednesdays since it is about an hour away. the picture of the suspension is taken from out board on the passenger side looking down on the shock mount and the front bolt to the upper control arm.

Something looks really off about your coilover there.

The silver spacer should be on the other side between the shock eye and the mount bushing. A thin washer should go where the silver washer is to move the bolt head inward toward the rear. If there is still interference with the a-arm, a silver washer can be installed at the suspension mount bewteen the mount bushing and the heim joint to move the a-arm forward a bit to help make clearance (moving the a-arm mount forward a bit will not affect the suspension geometry).

Lol- yes you are correct- good eyes. Those are speedway motors mockup shocks for prototyping. we have not yet taken our coil overs out of their boxes Speedway Coilover Shock Ride Height Mockup Tool (speedwaymotors.com)

Well OldB1 and myself are having a heck of a time. Apparently, we only got about 1/2 of the parts with the car at the auction and this project has gone on so long in fits and starts that we somehow misplaced half of what we do have. So there is a LOCOST meet up on the 16th of May. We were hoping to bring both the Stalker and the Goblin. . . .it might just be a fantasy at this point. Goblin HQ is also not picking up their phones these days.

I already ordered over a $1000 in parts this week between Goblin and Amazon- mirrors, rear parking brake kit, rear hubs. . .etc. I am sure hoping that goblin HQ will be fulfilling parts orders!!

We could sure use some help from the community locating parts!

1. intercooler pump- that lil thing down by the oil pan apparently that circulates coolant from a mini radiator to the intercooler.
2. rear brake lines - ac delco part number would be dandy.
3. 3/8" and 1/@" nylon fuel line - i think i have a line on an amazon source but nothing locally apparently.
4. the entire charge pipe/turbo piping package. most importantly the MAP/MAF pipes- pics borrowed from Aaron Buley's build

thank you for the info! that pump cost MORE then the supercharged cobalt we bought 3 days ago on coparts. well before all the buyers premiums and fees double the out the door cost. . . . we bought that particular cobalt for an upcoming project that is NOT a goblin. . .but it may loan us a pump for the meetup.

These should be the delco brake hose numbers. I can’t remember if the cobalt front brake hoses go to the rear. These are the part numbers for front brake hoses on a 09 ss cobalt.

You can buy DF's brake hoses here. The Goblin rear can use stock Cobalt fronts but I think the Goblin fronts are longer than any Cobalt brake lines.

They also carry an OE replacement intercooler pump.

oh man oh man. thank you tons for the pump link that is super cheap compared to the others. Oldb1 and i were going to snatch a loaner off of one of our supercharged cars to get by.

a question regarding the intercooler liquid plumping. . . somewhere i found a schematic but not on this computer presently. i believe this system is closed loop- is that correct? does it in any way tie into the radiator coolant overflow bottle? i found this picture of a T- with a flush fill cap -is that enough of a "reservoir"

It is a separate circuit and would need its own reservoir if you want to use one - it's not required.

The only real benefit to the reservoir is in removing air from the circuit.

Also if you reference the photo above: the last chrome-ish AIR tubing headed into the intercooler can anyone identify that particular bend? would it likely be included in a universal kit? i am pretty sure i will need to source 135 degree bend for the throttle body hook up separate from a universal kit
