V1 Request for BC coilover dimensions

Hi All,

I'm working on designing some spherical mounts on our rear suspension for a group buy. Can someone do me a huge favor, and verify these dimensions off their BC coilover damper shaft? The differences are pretty minor between the Konis that I'm running and BC, but I'd like to make a mock BC damper just to make sure I'm covering all my bases. I have BC body dimensions, but I don't have the damper shaft dimensions. I'll need the following off a BC coilover:

55832

  • Threaded diameter A: I believe this is 12mm?
  • Damper shaft diameter B: I believe this is 20mm?
  • Threaded shaft length C: don't worry about the threaded/unthreaded lengths, I just need the overall length
  • Shaft length D: I believe this is 130mm?
Diameter A and B are more critical; C and D are non-critical... approximate dimensions with a tape measure/eyecrometer combo would be fine.

I have a rule that I don’t touch the car/motorcycle the week before a race or track day. I do pro solo next weekend. If no one has those measurements by then, I’ll tear mine apart to get them for you.

Thank you! That's a fair rule. I was hoping that someone wouldn't need to pull it apart to grab measurements. Not that this is a huge rush, but I just don't want to waste too much of your time. I believe A and B are measurable without pulling out the damper, and C and D should be estimatable without pulling out the damper? A, B, and C are the most important ones, D I don't technically need.

Actually I probably could get most of the measurements for you. I’ll look at it this afternoon when I’m playing in the hangar.

Thank you! That's a fair rule.

I don’t remember the exact moment I made that rule, but it never failed that “hey, I’ll do this real quick” turns into, “I need to overnight parts or the weekend is done. I recently broke that rule and reminded myself why I have the rule. i even get nervous washing the goblin before an event. :D
