Were you having issues with the Power Steering unit though? Mine does work. Just seeing if this was the culprit and still functioning properly.I had the temperature of --- when the GM high speed LAN wasn't communicating well.
For our 2006 SS SC cars, the data flows on these wires. Any one of those connections or computers could be the issue. For me, replacing the power steering fixed it.
Ok then, I guess I'll start tracking things down on that list. Thanks for the place to start.Yes, I was. Intermittent power steering feature.
I actually have a second one around. I ordered a sensor and t-stat from Rock Auto but had to go to Advanced for some other stuff. They actually had them in stock so now I have the one on the car and a spare. I'll give that a try first.I'd try another new sensor for $6

Possibly made a discovery on my Ambient Air issue. I do not have the black units below!
O'Reily's ended up having one for $6 or $8, so I reserved it for myself and will get it after work. Hopefully that is one minor issue down. A few (and counting) more to go.I think you found the issue - you sort of need the sensor in order to sense the temperature. lol
I imagine this one is commonly missed because it's tucked away in the driver-side headlight housing IIRC. Even after I found it, I think I misplaced it a handful of times prior to actually installing it.
edit: These things are like $2 on Rock Auto. I only know because I looked it up one of the times I lost it.
Awesome! The car will get even better as you dial in the alignment over time.Last night I swapped the orientation of the rear toe bar and all I can say is wow! It took a little of the tweakiness (it's a word!) out when accelerating but the biggest notice is how much more planted the cars is on bumps at 75-80.
