V1 Robinjo #405 Full Cage - 2006 SS/SC Build "Drago"

Robinjo
I’d have to look it up, but it sounds right from what I remember. I had a problem with my cruise and it came down to the buttons Df provided to go around the instrument cluster. As you know with the accelerator issue, there’s always the possibility of a wiring issue.
Yes, the button panel switches are still suspect to me as well. I’ll check them out first as they are probably cheaper than GM switches. I hope it’s not more wiring problems but know it’s not out of possible. Cruise was intermittently working before so hopefully it’s just a switch failing.

Edit: cruise was back today except it wouldn’t disengage when pressing the brake. I’m thinking brake switch with this.

I do have the cutout in my splitter to allow the IC to get air. What needs to happen to make the fan a Pusher type? Is it as easy as swapping the wires or just flipping the fan over?

In my mind, the puller was pulling cool air (ambient temp.) from under the car. Wouldn't a pusher be pulling hot, stanky air (about 160-180 F) that is trapped behind the radiator through the IC? This is more for discussion, I'd like to hear the reasons as I'm sure there are.
My thought on this was that as long as you have the NACA ducts installed along with the fan, a pusher fan was fine, because the air would predominantly be getting pulled from the inlets of the ducts. I originally had the same concern about hot air being pulled.

@Fozda I remember you mentioning you had done this as well. Is it indeed as simple as flipping the wires to reverse the polarity (blue becomes ground and black goes to the power wire from the harness)?

I flipped the blade as well. The duct kit sits pretty snug to the cooler so I figured it was acting like a fan shroud and only allowing it to pull fresh air through the ducts. I suppose you could also seal it up even better to make sure no hot radiator air is getting in.

That’s not a bad idea. I was actually thinking about wrapping the whole plenum up in gold foil tape, but that may be overkill lol

Hadn't posted much on project work items as I've just been enjoying the vehicle. I did get new tires, Khumo Escta V730 (200tw) and I can say I'm pretty happy with these so far. It's only been maybe 100 miles on the tires but they are far better than my second hand Continental ExtremeContact Force tires (220tw). I did bump up a touch in size going from 225 to 235. I was looking to go 245 but these were on a crazy sale so here we are. Launch is easier with these as they do not want to spin like the Conti's did. With that size change I did need to adjust the HPTuners file a little but that was easy. Khumo says the size for 235-45R17 is 794 Revs per Mile.

Got my wing uprights from Fozda and installed my super cheap eBay Carbon wing. I thought I had ordered a 24" wide unit and it was actually 21" between the uprights so I had to get a little creative. Luckily, the wing kit came with some brace tabs so I modified them a touch and it all sits nice now. All in, I think I have $300 in the whole wing setup so I'm happy with that. More importantly, my son loves it. The rear wing really completes the look of the vehicle. How much downforce it's making is most likely negligible but the whole vehicle feels more solid driving around, more planted. That most likely is due to the new meats put on.

Last thing done was I pulled the side panels and put a little peel and stick foam on the insides to stop the rattling noise. Since I put in rivnuts when I installed the side panels, this was very, very easy to do.

Well, I have another thing to add to the list of 'things to fix'. I guess a tire threw a rock up and shattered my passenger mirror. It wasn't like that when I left in the morning but noticed it on my drive.

I had this happen. Within two miles of me getting good tires I had both side mirrors cracked. I never saw them get broke but when I came out of the restaurant to go home they were in pieces. Another opportunity to upgrade or make your ride even more unique.

Went to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge for the weekend and took a couple photos. This car was a hit on the strip, all the people who rented RZR's thought they were hot stuff until we rolled by. My kid loved it! Also got a duck placed in the passenger seat at the hotel. Had to look this up, apparently it's a Jeep thing. They must have really liked the car to hand one out to a non-Jeep vehicle. Made it all the way home without rain UNTIL I was 5 minutes from my house. That rain was a downpour to make up for all the missed rain. Doesn't seem to have messed anything up, just washed my seats really nicely.

Painted the letters on my new tires. I might not do this again as it took about an hour per tire to do. I like the look but not 4 hours worth......
Why work on known issues when you can do 'racecar' look stuff!
