Can you use one of those fuse spice wires from the front BCM?

Yep!

Just got back from autozone they had a few different styles. There's a 10amp fuse in the top row that's switched on and off.

FYI there are several fuses that are switch activated but most of them take several minutes to turn off after turning the key off. This one is instant.

Drove for a solid two hours today. Such a blast.

I did manage to smoke the front tires when someone pulled out right in front of me. The left front locks up before any others. So I still have air somewhere in the lines even after all the bleeding I've done.

Your Goblin looks really good! Are you planning on adding any of the body paneling in the future?

Yep! I'll be buying the standard Goblin nose cone and fenders, and making carbon fiber side skirts.

It'll also get a rear wing. Probably the aluminum one from Megan racing. I'd rather get the carbon NRG wing but the support attachments are really wide and I'm not sure I could make that work.

Cool! It's been neat to see your progress. Personally, I'm starting to like the naked Goblin the more I see them.

Thanks! Several people have told me to leave it naked. But the front has a lot of odds and ends that just makes it look unfinished to me.

I've considered making a "bikini" nose cone, basically one that just goes from the top of the radiator to the area under the windshield and doesn't drop down the sides like the kit body. But man any kind of body work like that is a really daunting task.

Not a whole lot to report. Figured id take a step back and catch up on some stuff I skipped.

The gear shifter installation took the better part of the whole weekend. It wasn't difficult, just have to move back and forth from shifter to trans a few times to get it all dialed in. And then take it all off when you forget to tighten the actual cables in the tunnel cover slots... I took very few pictures so please ask if its not clear.

I started out by placing the transmission in neutral. Get the trans selecter lever in the center of its throw, and measure the push rod coming out of the cable sleeve and get it in the center of its throw as well.

Next adjust the cable clamp nuts ( the large nuts on the cable housing, not the nuts on the push rod) so that the ball joint lays over the ball when the cable clamp nuts are tightened against the trans cable mounting bracket. Snap them down, without moving anything.

Now to adjust the shifter shaft I basically did the same thing. If you haven't modified your shifters "horizontal" throw lever see my post a few pages back on installing the ball joint into the white gm lever.

Get the shaft in its center most position where it has equal throw in all directions. Line the cable ball socket joint up with the ball joint on the bottom side of the df machined "reversing" lever and tighten cable down against the tunnel cap bracket. At this pint you'll have to remove the gm shifter housing to tighten the cable nuts against the bracket.

It is then very easy to adjust the shifter using the supplied push rods. Note they have reverse threads on one side and you'll have to use the similar reverse threaded ball joint socket.

Also today marks 350 miles driven in the Goblin!

21.7 mpg overall average and I am not at all careful with the throttle.....
